You can buy 1 inch stuff or half inch and just apply two strips to get the width you want. I keep both widths on hand to tackle different applications. If the surface is very uneven and you suspect there will be a gap over the tape after tightening, you can run an additional strip over the first one or simply buy a thicker tape.
