+1 : bought the China specials 4 years ago through Ebay at something like $2.50 each and replaced all in my boat ; 18 total. On a few had to change the polarity too, but absolutely no problems with any of them. They illuminated a little green even though they are 'warm white,' but not enough to be a deal breaker by any means. Just search Ebay "G4 bi pin led bulb" for a lot of choices.

Fraser, please post where you buy your LED, if it's Ontario, or Canada, as buying online from US, can be costly with exchange and probable HST or duty at the border. Are we ripped off in Ontario, for LED at about $22.00 a pop?

I've never seen a LED for $10.00.

Or is you do buy online, I'll appreciate any advice you may have.

Thanks

Anyone looking for a bi-pin G4 should buy these. Bought 30 of them to do all the lights on board this spring. 3watt is more than enough and they are dimmable if you have the right dimmer that is. Completely encased in silicone so obviously impervious to corrosion. Can't beat the price either. Warm white is a whiter than the yellowish halogen they replaced, very nice. http://www.ebay.com/itm/152037179716?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Those look pretty good, I have to replace all ours too..so three watts is ok heh......we did on last boat and saved a ton of power, but they were not these g4 2 pin fixtures....regarding the nav and anchor lights , do they say anywhere about being CG compliant re the 2 mile visibility, not sure how the CG could check but... ???
Wow its amazing there are so many different choices,... :beergood:

I would like to revive this topic. With all the advancement in LEDs in the last 5-10 years, maybe this information is outdated. I have a 350 Mariner and am curious if there is anything new and cool if i'm going to be up there replacing the originals... ie Bluetooth controlled/ multiple color options/ ect
Thanks in advance!!! :beergood:
