Stainless Steel Backsplash in the kitchen

Postby jwrape » April 2nd, 2014, 2:23 pm

Has anyone used a Stainless Steel back splash in their kitchen area behind the cooktop? It would be a nice look and protect the wall from splatters.

Yes.
Click on my photo bucket link.
Go to my Mariner album.
We did the bar and the gallery walls in stainless.
You will see how it looks there.
Thanks

That looks really nice. Where did you find the stainless sheets? Home Depot or Lowes?

The guy that does my granite work uses his brothers shops water jet for cutting the granite. His brother is a heavy metal shop.
Came to the boat and made templates, programed the water jet off the templates, and then cut the stainless with the water jet.
This is not a job you can do yourself.
Most any other type of cutting will use our cause heat and discolor the edges and probably cause wrinkles in the edges.
Thanks

Ah, good to know. I'm sure there is someone around town that can get it done for me.

A granite installer should know how to make the templates.
Then bring those to a shop with a water jet.
All of it cost me 175, but then again I have sent tens of thousands of work to the brothers. So it may cost a bit more.
Thanks
