Has anyone felt that the 3207 side railing feels unsafe?

Postby jwrape » April 3rd, 2014, 12:32 pm

Looking at our 3207 and walking down the side of it seems that it's missing a rail that the factory should have added, in my optinion.
I was thinking about adding a single rail here to have a little something to lean on when going down the gunnels.
What are your thoughts?

The hand holds on the outside of the fly bridge compensate for those "missing" rails. I have not had issues on friends' Carvers with this body style.

Yea, I don't like how the side rails are set up, especially the side entrance is so skinny. It is not a big mans boat. Got to be skinny to get through the entrances Side or rear entries. I'm only 196lbs. and 6' but the rails still catch me on my hips if I go straight in, I have to go side ways to get onto the aft deck.

But the side rails I am getting used to. Just don't want to fall off the side walking down the gunnels

I would rather this than the way the 3607's are...they are just a wire and not a very big entranceway onto the deck.
