Welcome aboard. Try to contact me when you do the loop. When you get to Lake Michigan you will have the opportunity to cruise the east shore of Wisconsin. Then, it's just a short skip over to the U.P. of Michigan where I am. There is a ship builder here that you may like to see. They build LCS and they are just starting another class of Navy ships. They always have something in their yard, and floating in the river. When you see these vessels on land, it gives you a "proud to be an American" pump in your heart! Besides that, Door County on the Wisconsin side of lake, is very Scandinavian. They have a restaurant where goats are on the roof grazing on the grass roof. Hope to see you in the future! 8-) er

Hi, I am new to the group. I am the original owner of a 1998 model 325 aft cabin Carver. I am in MA.

I need to replace the sofa. Getting it into the boat may be difficult. Any suggestions on a manufacturer and model would be appreciated.

Hello,

I'm Rene. I have a 1997 Carver 350. It is moored in Suisun City, Ca. I've spent most of my time on sailboats. Now, I'm in a pwoer boat. I'm looking to learn as much as I can about the boat. I'm planning some fuel consumption tests in the next few weeks. It is my hope to use this boat on the Great Loop in a year or two, but I will need to put it on a 18 wheeler to get it to the East Coast. Until then, I will be on the waters of the San Fransisco Bay Area.

Welcome aboard Rene.

What engines do you have? Not that it can't be done but personally I wouldn't do the loop with gas engines.

Maintenance on a boat that’s been sitting in a slip for a year?
I know I need to change all the impellers, fuel filters, oil and filters, flush sea strainers and systems with barnacle buster, and other things. I would like other opinions on what to do and the best place to get the parts, thanks for any advice.
