Hello Everyone,

We just purchased our first Carver, a 1982 3007 Aft Cabin a couple months ago. Lots of small winter projects to complete but mechanically sound. Previous owner had both Crusader 220's recently rebuilt and they look and sound great. The first of many projects I'd like to tackle are rebuilding the 3 helm seats and the bench on the fly bridge. The previous owner left them exposed to the elements so there dried and cracked. I also want to re-finish all cabinet doors and draws. The white "paper" looking stuff is falling out and looks bad. The headliner in the aft cabin also needs to be replaced... I could go on and on! I'll post my progress in the "Project Center" and hopefully get some advise.

We're looking forward to many wonderful days on Buzzards Bay!

John

Welcome. I have a very similar Carver (84 3207). We're selling her 'cause we picked up a 38 last fall (3 growing boys and their friends we need the room). Sounds like all cosmetic work you're tackling and that should be pretty easy. When my buddy tackled his helm seating vinyl he fibreglassed the plywood at the same time. Seems like a good idea as they get a little punky over the years. You're gonna love this boat. Get those projects done you've got a great summer ahead of you!!
