Hi, my name is Doug. My wife (Julie) and I are new to the Carver family this year via the purchase of a 2003 Carver 466. We hail out of Baltimore MD and were previous Regal owners for about 14 years. I look forward to sharing ideas and experiences with our new Carver friends and if you are ever traveling to Baltimore please let us know.

Here is a link to my wife's blog about our boating experiences and the transition to moving to liveaboards. Yes reference to Regal is still in the blog name but we consider it now the "Splendid" life :-D

Welcome! I lived in a corporate condo for a while, almost right next to the water. Loved Fells Point!

Welcome to the family! Spent 19 plus years on the Bay up until 2 years ago (the last 6 as live aboard's on Kent Island). You have picked a beautiful place to live aboard.

Hello Doug and Julie! I realize its a little late for the welcome but my wife and I are new to this forum and also just purchased a 2004 466 last July! We reviewed your link and found it fasinating. We boat on the upper Mississippi but I have a Nephew in Baltimore that we try and visit about once a year. We plan on using this boat as a liveboard, down the road abit though. This is our 5th boat and 4 of them Carvers. We do almost all of our own work and have learned a tremendous amount thru the years. We would love to share stories and maybe stop by sometime in the future. Again...welcome!

Hi Doug and Julie,

I actually followed your blog for awhile when I was boat shopping. Had a deal on a 2001 466 in Ohio but it didn't pass my survey standards. Just signed a deal today on a 2000 506 awaiting the usual conditions. You have a beautiful ship!
