Hello from San Diego!

Postby MeredithRaymond » August 11th, 2017, 9:20 pm

Just bought my first boat --- 1998 Carver 355 Aft Cabin!

Obviously an older boat but she's in great condition. She's been in Lake Powell all her life, so seems need compared to her young model cousins here on the Pacific Ocean. She has 600 hours on the engine and the interior is in immaculate condition. She's a great first boat.

My husband and I moved to San Diego just about 20 years ago when he was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. I promised him back then that we'd buy a boat. It took 20 years but we've finally done it! The kids are grown now (20, 22, 25). It's time for us!

While we become accustom to this new life of freedom, I'd love any support from you boater veterans. And please be patient with us if we ask dumb questions. :-D If you're in San Diego, we'd love to meet you. (We're moored in Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island.)

Welcome. I travel to San Diego a couple times a year. Have been doing a large project at Navy Base Coronado and San Clemente Island. Beautiful there.

Welcome aboard. I would bet that you'll have very few questions about winterizing. :-D

Welcome aboard!!

Curious as to what your experience was with shipping the boat, and if you have any advice for anyone else looking at having to do that?
