You will be surprised as to how much room becomes available once the stairs, centre hatch, starboard hatch and port hatch are all removed. Really easy to work on almost everything.

Update, finally had the sea trial. Went pretty well.

A few things came up.
* Very slight fuel leak on the port outboard side. The mechanic that did the engine survey couldn't find anything. We put a diaper down and went for another ride and there was a little fuel spray on the diaper. The mechanic is going back next week to check. He thinks it may be coming from under the engine cover where the injectors are. (Learning my way around diesels, slowly)
* Both rudders have minor leaks.
* Exhaust Muffler has a water leak on the port side. The water drips down and is flung around.
* Sea cocks are really hard to turn
* Stbd Aux & Main Port Fuel gauge not working.
*Stbd dripless is leaking.
A few other small things but overall the mechanic said the D6's were solid.

Anyone experience the Rudders or Fuel issues?

P.S. removing the stairs made a huge difference! Thanks

It's a done deal. Took ownership yesterday!!! 8-) . Cant say how excited me and the Admiral are.
Anyone know where to get a parts manual for the 41 CMY? I may be needing a muffler, etc...
Any words of wisdom, tips, tricks, etc... would be really appreciated. I'm excitably overwhelmed trying to figure out where, how, why, what everything is and how it works. Its great!!!!!

Congrats

Here's something to start with: https://carveryachts.blob.core.windows.net/media/2493/2005-4137v1.pdf

https://carveryachts.blob.core.windows.net/media/1814/2005.pdf

You can call Carver Parts Dept. with your hull number and they'll give you a part number for the muffler. It's likely a Centek muffler and they are usually labeled with a Centek number so take a close look.

I was totally stoked also. Have a good idea of what you are living right now. I personally love the boat and you will too. Don't be shy if you need advice on mostly anything. PM me and we can exchange email address or actually talk on the phone. Congrats and enjoy.

Oddly enough my wife and daughter were in Boston last week for a 4 day vacation. My wife said I must got down with her as she loved everything about Boston and she usually gets what she wants.
