12 vdc corrosion

Postby Millswf01 » April 9th, 2018, 8:47 pm

My raymaine system and anchor wench are not operating. I have 12vdc checked at the raymaine plug but when I plug in the c120, the voltage drops to 4.5. Could the problem corrosion on the common or not leg? This problem has come up after sitting all winter in storage on the dry.

Welcome aboard. Have you had your batteries properly tested after winter? I wouldn't bother going any further until you confirm your batteries made it through the winter and that they can take and maintain a charge.
