I haven't actually, but I would say that sounds about right... Do your motors spin quite a bit before firing up when cold? Mine do, I asume it's to heat combustion chambers for emissions reasons? I'm looking forward to a report on your block heaters to see if cold start smoke is reduced.

I dont think they spin any longer than the 12ltr CAT's i had in my last boat?
AS far as reduced startup smoke, we're going to have to wait till sometime in Jan, not going out to the boat till then

The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Hey Andy, I ordered a set of Katapults. I was curious, you probably did more homework than I, what are you expecting to see in terms of performance difference between your new Katapults and your existing 28 by 32s? I just told Steven that I had the sister ship to you. He was familiar with you and your boat so I felt comfortable with that. Other than that, he didn't ask very many questions about my set up. He's just stamping out the new Wheels the same as the ones he has for you. Dave.

Dave,
All I can say is I first had the Katapults made up for my 50’ Cruisers 5000 Sedan w/ 12ltr CAT’s @ 660HP running 50k lbs loaded & I got drastic improvements that I don’t expect with my 530. It would be nice ;-)

With the old wheels my Cruisers ran at 20-22kts cruise and 26+ Kts WOT.
The Katapilts with fine-tuning got me cruise speeds of 24-27 & WOT of 30+ kts.
I will say that I had the wheels re-cupped a couple of times to reach the right compromise as each time I added cup I lost about 50RPM- I expect I might have to do the same but you never know
When the smoke clears i'd like to see a couple of knot improvement, most importantly at cruise speeds
I always like to travel with a spare set of wheels & this also fills that need as my current wheels will be stared in the ER somewhere

Copy that. I guess my biggest concern is not reaching top RPM with the new Katapults. I'm hoping to install the new Wheels around April 20th, pending the amount of snow on the ground. If you happen to install before that and find that they need tuning, let me know. I'd send mine back before going to the trouble. I'll report all performance stats to you if I install first. Thanks
