Congratulations on your new acquisition, and welcome aboard. I'm sure other Mariner owners will chime in but I suspect the switching relay for the AC line (line 2) has failed. There are relays typically behind the electrical panel that automatically switch the source power from shore to generator when you turn the generator on. You can usually hear them when they activate. I'm assuming that everything else works and that you have two shore power lines?

Welcome to the forum.....on the top back of the generator should be a black box, on the side is a breaker switch, some fuses and the a start toggle, make sure the breaker is in the on position to get power to the boat from the gen. The gen can be started and stopped from there and run without sending power to the boat.
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.
