Welcome aboard.
While you are getting skooled, take the power squadron's online boating class. And if you like the first one, take some more advanced classes.
Thanks

Thanks, can you link the specific course you're referring to? Is it their version of the"Boater's Safety Course?" Have completed that as it was a requirement here in Washington state.

Yes that's it. But they offer way more than just that. Go to their website.
Thanks

Another good reason to complete a safe boating course is many insurance companies give a discount for having completed such a course. Years ago when I was with Safeco after completing the course I got a 5% discount from them. A few years later I took the Captains Course and completed it successfully and Safeco gave me another 10% discount for that course.

I'm not saying take the Captains Course but a safe boating course is a good thing if not a must. My reason for taking the Captains Course was not to get a ships license, although I could have, it was for the additional knowledge offered.

Just wanted to say thanks for the tour... Now if I can just convince the admiral that one similar to yours is what we should really be "camping" in ;) ( well that and a winning lottery ticket or 3)

Thanks again, hoping maybe we get another opportunity to meet.

A lot of us are only a winning lottery ticket away from our dream boats, myself included.
