I'm the John Snow of CYO

Postby Johnfrmcal » January 30th, 2019, 1:03 pm

Hello All,
New member, I'm actually a "kind of" Carver owner, I have a Trojan 440 Express (by Carver) and it was built in Wisconsin right next to all the other Carvers, but some of the DNA came from others LOL.

Welcome to the forum......I believe that to be a Carver... .. :beergood:
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

So, speaking of Game of Thrones! I want to formally claim the name "Khaleesi" for my next boat! I'm going to have a dragon airbrushed on the transom with Khaleesi riding the dragon. I'll have an anchor and anchor chain hanging from the dragon's mouth.

Welcome John Snow. You could not be anything but a Carver. It's part of your model graphic on the radar arch. Page 3 on Carver 98 brochure. Beautiful vessel, and strong as heck. In 1997, a barge lost a cargo of 40 foot wood posts in Lake Michigan in early spring. One morning, as I woke up, a Trojan 440 was arriving at the outer wall of the marina, with a very nervous Captain. On his trip across the lake, he hit a post that was penciled at full plane. It shook the entire boat, sounded like a cannon fired, and he would not take the boat off plane until he got to a marina. He was convinced the post was sticking thru the hull. We inspected for any water leaking in the bilge. None. The Capt. quickly made a martini to calm himself down, at 6:30AM. Later, a local diver checked the hull. No damage at all, just a scuff mark on the bottom paint. Point is - no worries about hull construction. Tell us about your boating experiences. Pics are always welcome! 8-) er

Its a Carver. They just bought the name when Trojan closed down due after the Luxury tax fiasco.

And also speaking of GOT, if they don't come out with the final season soon, I'll be living on my boat full time...If my wife watches the series one more time (while waiting for the last season) I'm going to lose my mind. :banghead:
