1987 Carver 3207

Postby iceman3500 » April 8th, 2013, 10:10 pm

We bought this boat last fall and have been waiting all winter for the ice to go to get it back in the lake. Might be a while yet as it's supposed to hit -31 celsius tonight.
I have e-mailed Carver at least three times looking for the owner's manual and they always reply that someone will get back to us but they never have.
Does anyone have any ideas where to get a manual?
Thanks.

The new Carver has none of the old Carver stuff. The new Carver is about as unresponsive as petrified wood. fagetabotem.
The manual is essentially useless anyway, other than the wiring schematics.
I would find another owner and scan the schematics.

Everything else, try the original equipment manufacturer for info. Steerng is probably Hynautic, engines and transmissions you can find online, the various pumps from the oems, there's all sorts of sources on the web for the head equipment. Electronics from OEM. Many may even have downloadable files for free.

Good luck!
Thanks

You might try a long time Carver dealer. I got a photo copy from my nearest dealer for my '99 404cpmy, cost me $50 but the wiring diagrams alone were well worth it.

Thanks for the tips boys. Lived on the lake my whole life but have never had a boat of this size. My buddy has a 1968? Chris Craft Roamer, steel hull that had a 671 jimmy diesel put in place instead of twin 318's. We brought that back across the border on Lake the Woods in 1987 and there is no way to count all the good times we've had on that thing for the past 25 years. This year we ran into some unexpected cash so we bought what we could afford to join him with more of our friends in tow. Can hardly wait. Shouldn't be this excited for a 51 year old but it's going to be a good summer. Hoping to do something like Mkemper did with the cabinet remodel but probably will wait until the fall. Thanks again.
