Just wanted to drop and and introduce myself. We just got a 1983 3207 aft cabin. Looking forward to learning as much as possible about our new to us boat.

Anything we should worry about? First thing to look for?

Congrats and welcome aboard.

Do you have any service records from the previous owner? If not, you may want to consider replacing all the fluids and impellers for starters. Pull the distributor caps and check their condition. I there re any signs on corrosion on the posts, do an ignition tune-up. Replace the fuel filters. The list goes on but this will hopefully get you running reliably while you consider other secondary items to tackle later a little at a time.

You should also consider checking the condition of your batteries and wires/connections. Oh and ensure the toilet works properly, she won't stay on board if it's not working ;-) A failure with either of these will surely ruin your weekend.

Welcome! Viper covered the list impeccably, as he always does! Hopefully you had a survey done. The surveyor, if he/she was good, should have made some basic recommendations. Wishing you great cruising and travel safe! 8-) er
