New Carver 396 Owner

Postby StanG » August 28th, 2019, 9:49 pm

I've been poking around on the forum for a few month's while searching the south-west for a Carver. We are now proud owners of a 2002 396. The boat we purchased is very clean and mechanically well taken care of. It does need a little polishing, Isinglass replaced and fresh batteries. I'm going to be asking for input on house batteries. We will be moving it to Southern CA. soon.

Here's a couple Pictures

Nice yacht. Hope your issues are minor and you have many great adventures aboard your Carver. Good luck.

Good Luck!
As for batteries, I make sure i have a great modern battery charger and buy 31's at the parts store. They last 4-5 years no problem. I am on my 6th year now with some O'reilly batteries on my Carver. A little maintenance and a modern charger works for me.
Thanks
Fred

Welcome to the forum....there are some threads about house batteries/banks that may be helpful to start...
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.
