Model Number

Postby Roddono » January 19th, 2021, 2:46 pm

Hello, New Carver owner and new member. Great board btw...

Now for a dumb question. I am unsure what model number boat I have or where to find that info.

I purchased a 1991 Carver 33 aft cabin. Where would I find that info?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome no such thing as a dumb question. Theres a hull id number on the stern, starboard side. This would also be needed for insurance. This is like your cars vin number it can be decoded
just post it on here. But sounds for your description you have a 33 aft cabin

Wow, Thanks for the quick reply! I know my hull number but what I mean is a model number. I see members talking about “their 3607” or some other 4 digit number. I also see brochure’s and MX manuals with same. I never just see Carver 33. Am I missing something?

Heh there..... it may be a 3307.....now I am not sure but I believe the 33aft became the 350 aft and the 350 aft is a 3307.....sooooo take what you will from that, a little confusing, another route to be sure would be contact Carver unless someone with the same model chimes in.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I don't think it actually has one, but you might contact Carver to see. There was probably some confusion as it would have been based on the 3207. As you can see below, in 93 they started calling it the 350 in 1993.

BTW, I still have one of the factory sales brochures that includes that boat, PM me if you're interested in it for your boat documentation.

My guess is that it’s a 3307. I know my model number because it is in my owners manual. The first two digita appear to be the length and I’ve been told the last digit has something to do with the hull. Maybe the third digit is the model, as I have noticed that all the pre-93 Santego’s us a “6”,for example 3067,3467 and 3867. It seems that all after cabins have a “0” in the position. I’m sure someone on here knows. Your hin also contains the model, series of production for the model year, month and year laid up, and of course the last two digits are the model year. I know from mine it was 7th in line for 89 and the hull was laid in July of 88. Also, my surveyor notes the model number on my survey so you might check your survey documents for the model number.
