New NJ member, first Carver, C37

Postby Sgranier » April 4th, 2021, 4:45 pm

Hi everyone! Great to be here. We’re taking delivery of our “new to us” 2017 C37 next month. Very excited! Volvo Penta D4’s, shafts.
If there is anyone out there with same power configuration, would love to hear performance numbers. Best cruise, fuel burn.
Will be taking it from northern MI to NJ on its own bottom late next month.

Congratulations, I’m assuming the Erie Canal to the Hudson is your way home. It’s an awesome trip, I did it about 8 years ago from Erie PA.

Yup, Lake Huron to Lake Erie to Erie Canal to Hudson. Looking forward to it! Any advice for the canal/locks?

Congrats. We have a 2018 shafts but with merc 350. We absolutely love rhe boat. We did the erie canal recreationaly about 1\2 way and locks were pretty easy omce you get the hang of it. Probably easier with 3 people but doable with two

Welcome abord, nice to see more of the "newer" generation Carvers owners on the site. Not many at this point but the numbers will grow as time passes. Congrats, awesome boat. :captain2:
