Welcome to the forum Gary
The 32 Mariner is a great boat . I'm sure you will enjoy all it has to offer. An acquaintance of mine had one and really loved it. It was primarily a floating cottage for him but they did travel quite a bit as well.
I believe you also will enjoy less fussing around on a power boat, it seems to me that Sailboats and their rigging require constant repair and attention. A power boat , climb a board , turn the key and go. Of you will still have maintenance and cleaning etc but I think you made the right choice.
I went from a 32 Houseboat , to a 32 Wellcraft St.Tropez to finally my dream boat a 2000 Carver 456 MY.
Enjoy your boat Gary
