Hello from Seattle

Postby (destroyer)sailor » May 4th, 2013, 12:29 pm

Hi fellow Carver owners. By way of introduction, we live and work in Seattle where we enjoy cruising Puget Sound and the San Juan / Gulf islands. We are the new owners of a '92 Carver28 Command Bridge [actually it's about 32 feet long], is documented as "This Is It" and it's moored on Lake Union. The boat's name implies that we don't intend to be moving up yearly with larger vessel acquisitions . . . i.e., 'this is it' [for now]. We still own a '76 Bayliner Saratoga Express 2550 . . . sitting on its trailer in Anacortes . . . used for salmon fishing and crabbing since 1980. We know that our new boat is probably the minimum Carver, but it suits our needs and we really love it. :usa: :-P

Welcome to the forum. The size of your Carver doesn't matter here.
Size is only an issue when talking about your Johnson .. outboard motor.

Welcome,
Nope, size nor age matters. I have a 77 and love it. Boating in the Puget Sound...I am jealous. I lived there for 3 years and miss it dearly but no real way to get back out there. Anyhoo...we look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Steve

Ya, we said we'd never need a bigger boat than our lone 28. Good luck with that.
Welcome!
Thanks

Hi, we are looking at a 26 Command Bridge and live in Bellngham area; how is your Carver working out for you? Curious to know if and how you installed radar; thanks and take care

I think that is something that all of us who are into boating have to go through.
