Intro new to site
I am new to this site and new to Carver boats. I am a retired Architect and live in Cascade, Colorado. I bought a 1989, Carver 2357 Montego last fall. The boat is in good condition with full canvas as well as a 4KW. Kohler gen set. My son lives with me and is my first mate responsible for maintenance and repairs as my health prevents me from doing the work myself although I am still very good at supervising.
Our primary boating lake is the Pueblo reservoir just west of Pueblo, Colorado @ elev. 4,119 ft. AMSL.
Happy Boating

Re: Intro new to site
I agree that it's pretty rare to see a genset on a boat that size. That would make overnighters much easier!
You must have a lot of other options on that boat if someone thought that it needed a genset. Does it also have A/C? Hot water? Microwave?
The first 25'er I had didn't even have hot water until I added it after years of ownership! (and it never had A/C or a microwave, although both would have been very nice!)
