Introduction
My Name is Andy, I just joined this group. I have a 1987 27' Carver Montego. I have owned it for a couple of years. I do have some maintenance issues that I could use some help addressing if anyone has any info. The Vacu flush seems to have lost is seal maybe. It has some backflow and when I pump it out I have to put a stopper in the toilet to create a vacuum for pump out.

Re: Introduction
Also, the vacu-flush systems do need the "duckbills" cleaned or replaced periodically to make sure it can properly build and hold a vacuum.

Re: Introduction
Ya check your tank vent to ensure it's not blocked in some way, either on the outside fitting or in the hose. If you haven't already, replace the duckbill valves (4) and by the sounds of it, you should replace the seal in the bowl as well. They're regular maintenance items that you should replace anyway. Test after these are replaced and go from there. If they don't solve the problem, further diagnosis is in order.
When your vacuum pump finishes cycling and shuts off, does it come back on again by itself a short time later?
Does water stay in your bowl between pump cycles? There should always be water in the bowl.
When you flush, does all the waste get cleared out?
