By way of introduction I'm a Canuck who lives and boats primarily in and around the Kawartha Lakes of southern Ontario. I've been at it with the same boat for 20+ years -- a 1981 Cruisers Inc. Veesport 266, powered by a Mercruiser 454 and TR drive. Old, but still beautiful, obsolete drive but got the job done.
We are currently in the process of purchasing a new to us a 1988 Carver 32 Montego Dual Cabin with twin 454 Crusader engines and v-drives. Its only had two owners and well cared for.
So, bigger boat (that I know nothing about experientially), twins instead of a single and I'm expecting something of a learning curve as far as operating and maintenance. To date I've done most if not all of the maintenance and repairs to the Veesport and pretty much know it from top to bottom and hope to continue doing so as long as health allows.
I am also looking for a trailer to store the vessel on but haven't yet been able to find any of the boat's critical dimensions that will assist me in setting up a trailer to set it on e.g. "inside prop distance, "rudder/prop depth", transom to front of prop" etc.
We are excited about the new-to us-venture and look forward to several more years of this style of boating on the Trent/Severn Waterway.

FWIW, that’s an awfully big boat to put on a trailer. Not that it can’t be done, but will be difficult and probably will need an oversize permit to take on the road and may even need an escort vehicle as well. Not to mention a pretty hefty vehicle to tow with.
