New 406 owner

Postby MV TATANKA » October 22nd, 2023, 10:09 am

Happy to find this forum and donate to it. Just bought my first boat (been boating my entire life with family 4 sailboats and a trawler) a 2000 Carver 406 MY with 1025 hours on twin 370HP Diamond Cummins. Boat just got stored in Grosse Pointe but will be boating the Great Lakes again starting next spring from my home port of South Haven. Looking forward to the fun and all the learning I have to do.

Welcome to the forum....you certainly have a good grounding and experience, good luck with your new adventure....nice boat and pics.
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new boat!! Looks like it's in GREAT shape! I'd bet that boat will ride nice with those diesels in it.

Looks like some of those pics are at JBM. I recognize the area and know the SloMoSis boat in the next slip!

Thanks! Brokers put me in their slip on the fuel dock for a week before haul out so I could come spend a week aboard and start to push butons and so on. Really wanted a trawler but this boat was so clean and a great compromise and Great Lakes boat.
