I'm in the process of vetting and purchasing a 2000 396 with Cummins diesels. I've found over the years the best source for ANY vehicle is the forums- they aren't tryna sell you anything, people are candid with advice/concerns/areas to look at. So, with that- hoping with the vast amount of expertise someone can help me. I just registered, so will be sure to check out the various topics pertaining to this. Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard!
Good luck! And yes. A boat that big needs diesels. I learned that with my 4207 with gas engines. Almost unsafe on Lake Michigan.
Thanks

I own a 2000 396 with gas engines. We love the boat although we have had minor problems including most recently the windlass stopping working. Good luck with your purchase.
