SOLD!: 1987 Carver Riviera Aftcabin

Postby MikeL77 » September 14th, 2017, 6:49 pm

1987 Carver Riviera aft-cabin cruiser. It is in very good condition. It has been used on the Great Sacandaga Lake on a large Adirondack Mountain lake in upstate New York the last three seasons. Runs awesome! It has two 305 Crusader V8 motors which makes maneuvering easy. Using one engine in reverse, and the other engine in forward, the boat can be turned in place in circles in either direction. The interior has custom cherry wood as shown in the pictures. It has a forward cabin with a triangular table and seating next to a galley with refrigerator/freezer, stainless steel sink, cupboards, and electric/alcohol stove. The table may be lowered to create a bedroom. There is a head in the front cabin with a manual pump toilet. It could probably use a rebuild kit. The head has it's own sink, shower, and cupboards. There is also an aft cabin with a double bed and twin bed, with its own sink. The motor hour gauges read 215.8 and 213.6 hours. We believe the motors were rebuilt then because of how well it runs. In attempting to track down the Carver's history, I was told that the transmissions were rebuilt at one point as well. The boat has always been in fresh water; the Thousand Islands in upstate New York for a good portion of its life. The boat has the optional hardtop, very hard to find one of these with this option. The boat was pulled out of the water for the season recently and is being serviced, cleaned, and stored at Gordon's Marina in Mayfield, NY. This boat is fully capable of being used on the Intracoastal Waterway and driven to Florida if you wish. It has additional gauges such as, depth, temperature, and speed, and fuel fume alert testing. There is a moveable AC unit that is not currently on the boat but will be included. It has a swim platform and ladder on the back. There is a significant documentation, logs, and manuals. Up in the top cabin, there is a table that seats four, storage, screened windows, and captain's chair at the console. The boat has an electric windlass anchor, stainless steel spotlight, and a small cooler to keep beverages close at hand. It has a top speed of about 20 MPH. The boat is well-known for its compact and functional design. It is only 28 feet in length, but its 11'2" width gives it significant usable space inside. It has a 2'9" draft, and weighs 9200 pounds. It has been an awesome boat for us, especially anchoring and swimming off it. We are selling our home, wife is retiring, and we are downsizing. Do not hesitate to send me any questions you may have. It's storage includes launch on the Great Sacandaga Lake next spring. Asking $14,500 or best offer. P.S. I have no idea why some of the pictures are not right side up, and I do not know how to correct them on the site. Sorry . . .
