Wanted to buy ~ Carver 444 Cockpit Motor Yacht

Postby MelodyShine » December 25th, 2019, 9:10 pm

New to this forum and I am hoping to locate someone who will be selling their Carver 444 CMY in the near future.

We’re located in Seabrook, Texas and REALLY don’t want to have to go too far from home i.e. Florida as that will add thousands of dollars to the cost by the time we fly back and forth 3 - 4 times...not to mention the gas and time to get her home.

Also, we’re concerned about buying inland as the radar arch (at least) would have to be removed. That in and of itself isn’t an issue, I’m worried about issues once reconnected.

I sure would appreciate hearing from y’all.

Thanks so much!!

Melody

I wouldn't be too concerned with an arch removal/reconnection, as that would be pretty minimal. Plus, you might be wanting to upgrade the electronics anyways, which probably means replacing what's mounted on the arch. If you could get a freshwater boat somewhere up the Mississippi or in the TN area that would be great, and I'd prefer that over a saltwater boat that's been sitting in substantially more sunlight for its life even if I had to remove and replace the arch to get it.

Good luck on your search!! Let us know what you find (with pics!) !

Can't help with the 444 CP/MY, but know there's a 410(SS) Super Sport for sale here in NY. @$139,900.00 if interested look on Frontenac Harbor's site in Union Springs, NY.

I've done this before and it's not as simple as just removing radar arch for inland transportation. You will need to have the bridge, wing doors and aft hardtop all removed, not a small job but the removal of the superstructure is very well designed to big plug and play.
