Something else to consider is the cooling capacity of either the ice maker or refrigerator. if you look at the BTU rating of a "home" unit and compare it to a "marine" unit or an "outdoor" rated unit, you will find the cooling capacity is generally about 25% greater. This is to preform in the higher ambient temps of a boat or the outdoors in the summertime. These units are also usually better insulated to keep the capacity and current usage to a minimum and still reach desired temperature. Part of why they cost more......................
