The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

All in all, I feel pretty good about my expense. Fuel is 89 octane, not 98! Forgot to mention pump outs are also included in my slip fee. So, I got that goin' for me,..which is nice! It is amazing how quick it adds up, but what else are we going to do? We could be marina rats and latch on to other boat owners to satisfy our adventurous soul...that would cost less. But naaaaaaa! I would rather spend it than lean on my kids to do that when I succumb to fatal boredom disease. Be thankful & appreciative. Happy Holidays to y'all!!!!! Cooler

You're right. Here in S/E Michigan where I live it is a great place to keep a boat. Rates are generally pretty good. I really cannot complain.

I think we would. I have friends in other parts of the country where boating expenses dwarf what I pay here.

Yea Bud, we believe you, and we believe in you. 3 reasons for you to share. The other idea is if you are really unhappy, you can move to another marina, live on the boat most of the season, and use part of the savings for travel home. We have a number of people from other parts live aboard their boats during the season. Our marina has slips from 25' to 60' available.
1. If something is upsetting you, it is good therapy to write it down.
2. It will give us ideas for Xmas
3. Although we all know you cruise one of the most gorgeous places on Earth, you will help us justify our expenses to ourselves.
So, come on, jump in! Cooler
