Thinking twice.

To all you boaters out there. Every body has had buyers regret at on time or another. I for one. been there, done that.
After you buy the item, hence the boat, don't you feel that maybe you should have went for the other model? We were set on a flybridge for the extreme comfort that's for sure, I don't believe we can ever go back to a cruiser. But has anyone bought a model then thought, crap, maybe I should of bought the other one? Just curious because I can't believe I'm the only one.

Okay Pep, what has brought this on ???.....my buyers remorse is always tied to not having piles of disposable cash to get the vessel we really want, compromise is always in effect.....

We all evolve so to say. Less 5 years ago I would never be caught dead in a Flybridge now its the other way around.

That being said, I never had buyers remorse, just upgraded to what suited me at the time. Went from a 23 to a 28 to a 32 to a 41. Loved every boat I had and kept them all for quite some time. With every upgrade I was more than satisfied and at the time thinking I would never need an upgrade, well that did not work out as planned. I have been fortunate to be able to enjoy boating as I like to and boat when I want to. To be honest, would not have changed a thing if I could go back in time.

Seen too many get into boating only to realize boating is not just sitting in the cockpit on a warm sunny day with a drink in your hand looking only at what they perceive as glamour. Nothing glamorous about being on a boat unless you are in an executive suite of a cruise ship. Need to be practical and not be afraid of a little elbow grease every now and then. Have been around boats since I was 8 and hope to be around boats until my body permits, just love everything about being on the water, rowboat or yacht it does not matter as long as the water is clean and better yet warm enough to go for a dip.

Life is short. Boats are fun. Could one regret a purchase? Definitely a possibility. I would hope that when one is out on the boat traversing our waterways that would push any regrets far into the background.

Not to say I don't love our boat, H.V. turned me on to the Carver brand. Quality through-out. We were first looking at another model,quirky looking but a very original style. While looking, I found this model we have now. Love the lines and the room. My anixety to drive it was very high, normal. Very tall, 2 motors...never had that before. Anyway, while looking for our next boat, we never found one of the other model that had been taken care enough to consider. Saying that, we went with our current model. Now, like you guys, searching for boats (my porn), one of the other model shows up that looks like brand new. That's what put all the doubts in my head, also my wife's. 1st world problems I know, just putting it out there.

Hey! Put her on the market you never know it may sell quick and you can get the other model! I hope they were both Carver models you were considering, if not shame on you! LOL!!! Wouldn't be grand if all us boaters could put our perfect boat ideas out there and see if the boat builders could make the perfect model for us all!

Man, I don't know, I'm not one for change for change sake. Yes, both are Carvers. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder that's for sure. I really love the look of ours because I find the lines flow a lot better than the other model. I'm also not one to sit around with a drink or sit at the dock. Man , I don't like being idle. But , I know for my wife's sake, the walk around on the other boat makes more sense to her than this one. I guess I'm going to go into deep thought.

Ohhhh, I think you do, but only the 2004 and up model because of the bed in the stateroom.

Only issue is will that gem get sold before you sell yours? Large boats with dual gas suckers are not exactly hot ticket items right now. Then again the new tariffs slapped on last year and the low Canadian dollar might actually help selling locally or to an American. Rather surprised by your sudden change of mind.
