I don't have a 396, but looked at a couple. I assume you have central vac. If you only have one inlet for the central vac, the unit is normally behind that inlet. Most often under or next to the TV cabinet.

On the ES version it is under the salon TV in the back of the cabinet on the Starboard side. BTW that cabinet makes an excellent liquor cabinet. Plenty of room for plenty of bottles. :drunk:

Found it. It is a bag inside the vacuum vs. A canister. Thanks.....J.
