Stand size for our 98 400cmy

Postby BOEDY » September 9th, 2021, 1:49 pm

Hello everyone, first post here. Were looking to buy new stands for our boat. Im looking at brownell mb3 motorboat stand with top 25"-38". Boats 22,500#s, going to buy 6 and block the keel. This is our first big boat and i honestly have no clue what im going to need. Maybe someone with a similar boat can offer me some knowledge, thank you.

Welcome to the forum.....if you have time I would recommend visiting a few boat yards in your area and see what they are using and how they are doing things, maybe take some pics and measure stands etc. Remember the stand only balance for the most part.....the keel takes the load. Six stands would be what I would use for your boat size.

Are you in a self help type boat club situation ?
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Welcome aboard. I'd be looking for a unit whose base corners/legs are tied together or to the center post at its base. Also ensure the top pivots.
