[url]As far as the screen/shade, I cannot get them to separate. Even the surveyor tried to no avail. I will try to see if there's a part number, brand name, or some other identifier to research how to get them to separate.

It is simply 2 magnetic strips that run the entire length. Try to get a utility knife between the two and work your way along it. I had the entire unit off to clean a decades worth of rolled up bugs on the screen after I purchased the boat. I had intended on simply changing it out but when I saw the price I almost fainted. Once off and on the bench it was an easy clean and fix job. Sorry, I'm past 60 so I cannot remember the brand ;-) I looked up but it was written on sticker on the shade. Pretty sure this is the brand. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/oceanair ... 63_001_503

This will help in understanding the function.

It looks a bit like a Bomar or an Ocean Air screen and shade unit.

Thank you Hans and Viper!
The video and link is spot on.
I've tried several times to separate the screen from the shade. It's as if someone has superglued the strip together.
I will completely remove it if I have to figure it out.
I will take another look at it tomorrow and provide an update.
Thanks to all!
