Carver sinking and lessons learned

I saw this article in Prop Talk, and thought I would bring it to the forum, because the boat involved was a Carver. I think the folks that lost their boat made a good move reinforcing the engine vents, though they aren’t absolutely sure that the vents caused the issue.

That reminds me....think I'll go check those auto/manual bilge pumps.....
