"Cool" little unit however one should not expect too much from it as it is only 2300 btu. Draws 40a at 12 vdc which is quite a bit when one considers a fridge draws about 5a when its actually running that is. I can see where it could come in handy for certain applications though.

Seen these advertised for a few years now I just wish I could see one 1st hand. Most reviews I've read sure are positive, I know its got some limitations for sure but would love to actually see it in action.. Pepmyster why don't you get one and try it out for us. :-D

I have to ask what is the application? It wouldn’t even cool the V berth. Following this.

Looks like they are for truck campers and the like from their pics.... :-D
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

I purchased a couple of those mini-portables that were the rage a couple years ago. They are cube shaped and run off USB cable. I was very surprised at how they kept smaller areas cool. Not for 90 degree temps, but very useful to keep berth cool without running the boat AC. Paid around $40 or $50 for each unit. 8-) er

Im not sure if you looked at the link to the zerobreeze thats referenced but it is a way different animal than the swamp coolers I think your speaking of.
