For those of you who are scratching their heads about Hans post, that really is 90F. He is in the Maldives, not Montreal. Water temp in the 80's....yikes! Must feel like you're standing in..........never mind. ANYWAY, today we will have exactly 11 hours of daylight, with more each day at a rate of +3 minutes a day. 77 days to launch!

Rick, storm is gathering more strength and moisture. You are in the bulls eye. My bet will be 8" to 9" for you. But, it will melt on Tuesday with temps around 50 for you. 8-) er

We just landed about 6 more inches of new snow. Don't really need it with the high water levels but it is what it is. Winter is still with us.

Time is moving right along! Just 60ish days to go! Been doing some buffing/polishing on CBTL lately. Really happy with the finish I am getting from Mequiar's Premium Clean and Wax single step product ( black bottle ). Used the standard #50 product last season with good results, but the step up to next level is impressive. Maybe it's just the light in the storage building, but the results are surprising to me. Was planning on having a pro do a compound and buff job, but decided to put that cash in the gas tanks instead. After seeing this preliminary result, I think I did the right thing! Just taking my time, few hours each day. Added one additional step to the process, suggested by a FG expert, that seems to be paying off. The guy parked next to me even said it surprised him. He is not easily impressed. 8-) er

Yes, the ice is on an early trend this year. The USCG Mobile Bay has been breaking ice in our area for the last 2 weeks. Some windy days opened up more water, but caused some damage to property owners on the shore. One road in Door County had to be closed because the ice completely covered a 1/2 mile section. The ice piled up 15'. The bay never froze north of Chambers Island, so top half of Green Bay was open all winter. First time in 4 years I should not have to worry about ice on my trip from launch to marina. Water levels up 14" compared to last year at this time. Most marinas raising their fixed dock height. ACOE expects another 8 to 12" between now and August. Just 55ish days to wait. Only have a couple more hours of buffing/polishing to go, finally. May even put an extra coat of wax on the top half. Using liquid wax so the job is easy. 8-) er
