Spending The Night Aboard

Postby RGrew176 » July 10th, 2020, 10:48 pm

It's another stormy Friday night aboard the boat. Supposed to be stormy most of the night but tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day. Plan to get the boat out on the waterway tomorrow at least for a couple of hours.

Turned out today was very windy 18 to 20 MPH winds plus gusts so I stayed dockside. I went and purchased a 4 gallon shop vac to keep on the boat. As it got dark I found a good use for the vac. I used it to hunt down spiders as they came out from their hiding places. Got about 30 of them only a couple inside the rest outside mainly coming out from their hiding places in my bimini top.

After sucking through the vac when I checked the canister they were all dead. No more spraying may use the shop vac from now on. Quicker and cleaner.

I also flushed out my onboard fresh water tanks and system. Had been using the city water connection but will be heading out in August to a place where the city water is not that great so I needed to get my onboard system ready to go.
