Shakedown Cruise

Postby tonyiiiafl » July 11th, 2021, 6:31 pm

Finally we got out after all the speed bumps we overcame. SMOOTH calm day, only causality was the VHF antenna bolt backed off and fell down. A quick turn of the wrench took care of that. New props sized at 21 x 21 down from 22 x 22. HUGE difference! No lugging, we hit 4200 easily, and also at cruise now at 3200 I am at 32 GPH (both engines) compared to 44 with old props. GREAT day! Oh yes, a happy Admiral too

Congrats, Tony, on a successful shakedown!

Thank goodness my boat does not have a GPH meter. I don't want to know haha.

LOL, back in the day before sharks on Cape Cod, I would be diving for them and bring back 30 to 50 each Saturday!
