02 Mariner compass

My compass lost its fluid but the compass can't be removed because of windshield interverence. Any tips?

Welcome aboard. Are you planning on repairing it or replacing it? Short of removing the windshield, the other option is to try and dismantle the compass in place or break off whatever section you need for it to clear the windshield, then replace the unit with something that has a lower profile. A picture of the unit might help.
