- First of all I humbly thank those kind visitors who donated in return for the availability of the documentation.

I am happy that the goal some years ago to keep the newcomers to Carver yachts informed of the available documentation like the former company was kind enough to do on their own site.
Nevertheless, the income is far below the cost of the site. These are no big numbers but I feel somewhat uncomfortable in keeping it up for those visitors who download a lot and not donate at all.
The point was and is to not have the documentation float behind a paywall with top listings in search engines by cunningly working that system.
The documentation helps to understand the boats, they are rarely a tight fit to the owners questions about current problems and situations. Some models have poor scanned info, others are shiny brochures, all of them are outdated. Like our boats

Very liberal, trustfull and honourable perhaps but in the end there's a mismatch between the number of downloads (so it fullfills a need) and the amount of donations (hard to believe that after all those downloads the value is so little)
All this notwithstanding the great people who donated, I sincerely thank them and am happy to have been part of a solution to their problems or questions about their Carvers.
Therefore I decided to move on and experiment a bit:
- The site will first be extended with advertisements. We all hate them, nobody clicks on them but somehow companies pay for them being placed on a website so here we go.
- after that and when I get some time and motivation for it I will redo the site itself with a better search-find-batch download engine. Iwil It will probably include some non-subtle 'request' for a donation.
- I will not demand payment for a download of a document, that would be against the principle of the site. Besides a hassle with commercial income, taxes, international complexities - it would also mean that I feel that I have to curate all documentation because you need to know what you buy and that it is good when you pay for it.
Note that at the moment one can download first, review and valuate and then donate any amount. The last step apparently is a bit like looking back at the dock with WOT and only then realising that the bag with the food stuff was left on the dock. Oh well, got the cooler with the drinks so keep going!

So the site is now at carverdocs.online (you may get a warning due to the https certificate as the files are hosted below my domain, will fix that when I re-do the site and move it to its own hosting place)
Enjoy the 2025 season!
