Trim Tab Fluid Reservoir

Postby RGrew176 » November 16th, 2015, 11:44 pm

I have a 1981 Carver 3007 Aft Cabin. I think I may need to put some fluid in my trim tabs reservoir. Does anyone with this model know where the reservoir is located? Is it easily accessable or will I have to hire a vertically challenged person to crawl down into the engine compartment to fill the reservoir........

Thanks.

although i dont have your model this should help you locate it. the trim tab resevoir will be mounted on the transom near the tabs, not in the engine room, in my aft cabin 405 there is a lift out access panel nearest the aft wall . your carver will have the same maybe a drawer to take out or seat with a access panel or raise your mattress probably have an access panel under it and look aft you should be able to see it against the back wall

Appreciate the tip. I probably will not get a chance to check it until spring but I will look there first. Thanks.

I drove down to the boat Wednesday. After I got done with the chores that needed doing I decided to look for the trim tab fluid reservoir. I found it under the starboard aft bed. It won't be that hard to get at in the spring when I check the fluid level. Its not mounted on the transom but on the base the gasoline tank sits on behind the tank.

If you have an 81 and probably 82 3007 Aft Cabin that is where it is located.
