356 swim deck extension

Postby PJHoffnet » January 25th, 2017, 11:51 pm

Looking at 'stock' 1999 356 stern, seems the swim deck is narrow especially with deck box.

One of the main reasons I've favored a 404 over a 356 is that the cockpit makes boarding so much easier, especially when a tender is on the swim deck.

Rough estimate to 'add' an extension to the swim to leave the boat's swim deck clear and have the tender on the extended platform?

Thanks in advance.

here you go theres 3 photos of this on a 355/356 .although fixed height. i would be curious how much and if you decide to purchase and install it what you think. i've thought about an addition for my 405. but sure cant see $20,000 or so for a powered lift.

Exactly the type of thing we're thinking of to replace the ease of access the cockpit in the 404 would have provided.

Powered would sure be neat, but that's a win the lottery splurge we certainly don't need :)

I'll see if they'll crank out a quote simply based on the model to uses as an 'added' cost when comparing 355s and 404s.
