I have four(4) of these in my 430. Two(2) in the galley and one(1) over, behind each bed.
Are these lights 120VAC or 12VDC? Thank you.

Most likely 12vdc I had these in my 405. 2 in galley 2 behind dinette and 1 forward head. Replaced with led string on the ones that were more hidden and put a led string inside the fixture that was easily seen and thought it looked good s o I left it up. The leds gi've way more light and helps in the galley alot

Not to mention draw less juice and produce a lot less heat.

I agree, chuck the fluorescent and go with LED. Outdated and will be impossible to buy in a few years. LED is definitely the new lighting system and here to stay for quite some time.

Thanks for the answers. Saw a YouTube on replacing fluorescent with led string in an RV. That's the way I'm gonna go!

Agree with LED's, but to answer your question, I'm 99% sure your florescents are all 12V. I've never seen a 120v florescent fixture on a boat.

Same here. I have one on my 3007 over the galley stove and it's 12V.

The t-5 fluorescent's use a 12 vdc ballast on your boat. The tubes, however are standard t-5's lamps and you can buy them at lowes or home depot. They are not as energy efficient as LEDS, but they are the next best thing. The t-5 lamps should be available for many years before they are discontinued.

Have bought 6 sets in past year and every set has been perfect. Small, 3- 12" lights/box, runs on 12 V DC or 120 AC with wall wart, uses very little power, bright, fits under cabinets. Planning to put them under every area I need light.!
