Fireboy system requirements

Postby Matt1989Carver3807 » April 2nd, 2019, 7:19 pm

I have a 1989 3807 Aft Cabin and it needs a Fireboy tank- the previous owner "used" it and never replaced after a small electrical fire .. looking to see if anyone know what size I should get to replace what was there for this model.

Thanks for any suggestions

Matt

I've never done this on mine but to get the correct unit, you need to measure the volume of the engine compartment. That will determine the size of the unit you need. Is your current unit a passive one or is it wired?

Did you check to see if you can just get it serviced (recharged and rearmed) at a local fire extinguisher maintenance shop?

Not sure what you have as the older units used Halon which is now obsolete but still can be filled. Found this which may be of help. i suggest you call Xintex with your model number in hand who will tell you exactly what you are dealing with. https://www.fireboy-xintex.com/marine-f ... g-systems/
