Carver 4207 LOA

Postby Mstewart1968 » March 3rd, 2021, 3:28 pm

I was wondering if any Carver 4207 owners can confirm the actual LOA on a stock boat from Pulpit to end of Swim Platform, not including a dingy overhang which would vary based on boat and lift.

Appreciate it

Darn, I could not find it anywhere. Just an obscure text listing from Europe, but was not sure.

We are not quite onboard ye (literally), but moving in that direction. But have narrowed it down to the 4207
for our needs. I am Canadian as well, but we live in North Carolina. (Dual)

Appreciate you finding that and forwarding it.

Yep, that is correct. Here is a spec sheet for a 1990 year, just so you have other specs. 8-) er

Welcome.

A roomy vessel for sure. I especially like the entrance to the engine compartment. No need to move furniture to get at hatches, and it's roomy in there too. What engines does she have?

Good luck with your search and keep us posted.

So on a spec sheet, does the loa include the standard swim platform and pulpit? We have a 3607 and the spec sheet says 35'7"?

Yes, LOA includes everything except the anchor which may stick out a little farther. The LOA of my 41 CMY is 42,11" so I figure I should pay for a 43" boat at my slip right? Well the marina management said they measured the boat and I must pay for a 45 because when physically measured from end of platform to the tip of the anchor, this is what it is. I said no problem, will let the anchor dangle when I pull in and charge me for a 43. :-D I understand trying to get as much revenue from the boats but this is a little overboard IMHO.

FYI, LOA stands for Length Over All
LOH = Length Of Hull.

I would bet your 3607 is 35'7" LWL (length at water line) This is the measurement that is usually used on your coast guard documentation.

Generally the centerline length does not include the pulpit and platform......the LOA will though.....

The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.
