Afternoon KM 1125
Yes passed on the Mariner ,
Seller was asking crazy number for a boat needing generator , plus one engine , not used in 2 years .
There is no perfect boat ,
Wife is not the adventous type , joins me but no sea legs , Gets nervous in bath tub . Freaks in rolling seas , boaters wakes
We do this journey togerther.
Her taste in cabin is modern rose wood with leather seating , I know the cabin of the mariner is her liking ,
I happen too like the cabin plus outside, not too big
two of us plus dogs
Based in central florida
I never speed most times 10 knots ,
Options gas/ diesel . Diesel will last longer but they still use fuel ,
wanted too do some coastal crusing weeks at a time ,
I am concerned about raising fuel ,
Just started shopping
maybe i will find a sensable seller on this site

I agree with those who don't believe it is an issue that Carver closed. It is unfortunate and would have been easier to identify solutions by calling Carver. However, you have all of us helping each other now. The value will remain the same based on the closing of Meridian and others. Carver is still one of the most popular boats around.

Very popular brand and respected indeed. A good example are Doral boats. Been out of business for years and still a very sought out cruiser. I agree with most that a well taken care of vessel is a great vessel. And if you want to change just to change, good luck with that, slim pickings out there.....
