Voyager 450 Salon Lights

Postby TruckerTim » June 24th, 2022, 9:17 pm

New owner and can't figure out the two dimmer switches for the salon lights. Previous owner told me push once and release then hold the up side until light come on and adjust to the desired brightness. Tried both and can't get either to come on at all. What am I missing?? Thanks

We just purchased a 2000 Voyager 450 so we are in the process of learning the boat.

In our case the salon lights will not go off. I have tried tapping both switches, the entry switch and the switch on the wall by the refrigerator. The lights will dim but I cannot turn them off unless I use the breaker switch in the DC panel located in the master suite.

I did find an owner's manual from Reddford Technology, Inc, located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. that covered installation and use of Series Wired DC Light Dimmer and Power Controller Model DCD-20 that I believe covers the light switches in the salon. Supposedly a "momentary push" on the UP side of the switch should turn the lights on.

I believe Reddford went out of business in 2013.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I have tried pushing it up once quickly and then holding it down but they never come on. But I didn't realize there is a master panel in the master. I will check that this weekend.

We just took possession of the boat last Thurs and spent this past weekend figuring, (or trying to) things out.
