oal of 1989 Montego 32

Postby Videoken » March 7th, 2024, 3:42 pm

I am trying to find the actual length of a 1989 Montego 32. I have seen everything from 32.5 to 36.5. It impacts whither or not I will be able to use a slip that I have in mind.

Not sure of the 32, but I had a 1988 Montego 27 and it was 31.5' LOA with the pulpit and swim platform. So, I am sure the 32 is several feet longer.

Agreed, a Montego 32 with swim platform and pulpit would be a rather tiny 32 if the AOL was 32'. Back in the late 80's, boat manufacturers did not include the pulpit or a bolted on swim platform in there lengths when naming their boat models.

The PowerBoat Guidebook lists the 89 Montego 32 (3257) at 32'3" LOA. I'm sure that does NOT include the swim platform or bow pulpit, as they were both "bolt-ons" for that model. With both, I could easily see that boat being 36-37' LOA
