You'd be amazed by how well some of the 3-step systems work on plastics to make them clear again or give them a good polish. NOVUS makes a really good set but there are others (like 3M) that are similar. If they're really bad you might consider removing the pieces and doing it rather than trying to do it in place.
I used the NOVUS system in some clear plastic portlights. They had become really translucent and I thought I was going to have to just replace them. Spent a few hours with the NOVUS stuff and they looked almost like brand new.
